MAMOU – Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home on Friday, September 18, 2020 for Zula Marie Darbonne, 94, who passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 in Mamou, Louisiana.

Deacon Chuck Ortego will conduct funeral services.

Entombment will take place in New St. Ann’s Mausoleum.

She is survived by her two daughters, Florence Fontenot of Mamou and Tracey Menard and husband, Keith of Eunice; four grandchildren, Brian Pierrotti and wife, Kimberly of Alabama, Michelle Kidder and husband, Troy of Mamou, Dawn Pierrotti of Mamou, Kiley Holden and husband, Derrick of Pine Prairie; and nine great-grandchildren, Bentley, Cullen, Devin, Khloe, Kagen, Jorden, Rowen, Kanyon, and Ashtyn.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Edna Dupre Brown; her husband, L.C. Darbonne; sister, Rena Rougeau; brother, Austin “Tony” Brown; and son-in-law, Terry G. Fontenot. 

At the request of the family, visitation will be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM.  A rosary will be recited by Deacon Chuck Ortego at 1:30 PM.
