Arie Dean Brundidge, age 71, a lifelong resident of Troy, Alabama, was called into eternal rest Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at home surrounded by loved ones. A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 24, 2020, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Reverend Derrick Fitzpatrick officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Cemetery with Antonio Maddox, Derrick Brundidge, and Damian Brundidge serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 23, 2020, from 3 – 6 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Ms. Brundidge graduated from Goshen High School class of 1969 and went to work with the Fruit of the Loom factory in Brundidge where she dedicated 24 years until there closing in 1993. She was a faithful, longtime member with Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church in Henderson, and a devoted Christ-like servant in her usher role. Ms. Brundidge was skilled in the trade of preparing Southern fare, and she could draw an army-sized crowd when her menu included collard greens, dressing, ham, and potato salad. And she never skimped on serving a generous spread of pies and cakes.

Ms. Brundidge is survived by her daughters, Lenore Brundidge (Derrick Fitzpatrick) and Gloria D. Brundidge; grandchildren, Derrick J. Brundidge, Koresha M. Brundidge, Damian J. Brundidge, and Teyonna N. Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Madison J. Brundidge, Kamari J. Maddox, and Karleigh D. Merritt; two sisters, Tide Lee Daniels (Emmitt) and Norma Brundidge; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luke Smith and Maebyrd Brundidge; and sisters, Willie Mary Jenkins Culver and Mary Dean Seymore Coleman.
