Bert was born in Port Anson, to Lester & Dinah Morey. Port Anson was his home until he moved to the Springdale Retirement Centre in Feb. 2017. His daughter Cara was the light of his life, he was always so proud to show off pictures of her and her kids. He was a quiet man and very kind. He never wanted anything much in life, for himself. If he asked for anything, it was because he wanted it to give to someone else. On a good day, he loved to get in his rowboat and row out in the tickle. He loved to jig fish and get mussels and he would give away the most of it. He liked to cook a big feed and would “bottle up “anything he could get his hands on. Some years back, he gave his heart to the Lord and loved to go to church and the services at the Retirement Centre. He was a humble man and a song or a prayer always touched his heart and brought tears to his eyes. He is gone to his final home & he will be missed here, by many. Left to Mourn: Daughters, Cara (Mike) Geneau - Chipman, NB & Carla - Fort McMurray, AB 5 Grandchildren - Shaneil, Asher, Parker, Tiara & Eliya His brothers, Ford (Betty) Morey, Joe (Cindy) Morey Along with a large number of family and friends. Our family would like to say a BIG Thank you to all those who were a part of Bert's life.. Daphne, we know he counted on you a lot and you did your best to keep him in line. The staff at the Springdale Retirement Centre thanks so much for taking good care of him, when he wasn’t able to take care of himself. To everyone else who has been a part of Bert’s life...too many to mention....thank you for being there for him also thank you to everyone for your kind words of sympathy.
