Danby John Walsh John L Walsh Jr, 80 of Danby, died Wednesday, September 16, at his home following a battle with cancer. John was born April 7, 1940, in Bridgeport, CT, the son of John Sr and Anna (Cryknott) Walsh. He grew up in Connecticut. He married Carol Brown in 1982. Following his retirement and relocating to Vermont, he and his wife owned and operated Country Lane German Shephards. He had been employed as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic. Mr. Walsh enjoyed gun collecting, hunting and being a member of the National Rifle Association. He is survived by his wife, a son Paul Tirpak of Connecticut, a daughter Sandra Bailey of New Hampshire, a brother Thomas, two sisters, Dorothy Pelletier and Sally Schiffer, all of Connecticut, 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Wallingford Aldous Funeral Home on Monday, September 21, from 4 until 6PM, concluding with a prayer service and military honors.
