Dr. Michael A. Strigenz Obituary

Dr. Michael A. Strigenz, age 63, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at his residence. He was born on May 24, 1957, in Stuttgart, Germany, the son of Anthony and Elizabeth (Walker) Strigenz. On July 26, 1980, he married Mary Oswall in Madison. Mike served as a Major in the US Air Force as an Ear, Nose and Throat physician prior to moving to Fond du Lac. Throughout Mike’s career he was honored to serve the Fond du Lac community and his patients. He was as devoted to his patients as they were to him and will be remembered for his kindness, compassion, and willingness to go the extra mile. Nothing gave Mike greater joy than being with his family and loved ones. He enjoyed coaching his children’s sports teams, hunting, fishing and spending time on the lake. Mike was a loving husband, dedicated and attentive father, and fun-loving grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Mary; three children, Sarah (Mark) Wendling, Daniel (Justin Walusayi) Strigenz, Michael (Joe Woodward) Strigenz; three grandchildren, Belle, Miles, and Emmie Wendling; his siblings, Deborah Strigenz, Mark (Christine) Strigenz, Andrew (Christina) Strigenz, Anthony (Diane) Strigenz, Elizabeth (Mark) Bensen, Thomas (Mandy) Strigenz, Timothy (Dierdre) Strigenz, Carrie (Greg) Miljevich; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, William (Fran) Oswall, Ann (Larry) Pinger, and Robert (Marjorie Tell) Oswall; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded by his parents; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Edward and Florence Oswall; brother-in-law, John Oswall. Private family services will take place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be directed to Agnesian Hospice, 239 Trowbridge Dr, #9180, Fond du Lac, WI, 54937; or to St. Mary’s Springs Academy, 255 County Road K, Fond du Lac, WI, 54937.
