Helen Heinrich-Doty of Birmingham died September 16, 2020. She was 91 years old. Helen was born December 31, 1928 in Detroit to Helen (nee Newton) and Ward Vinton. Professionally Helen worked as an executive secretary for an Insurance Company. She served as an officer in a Garden Club and enjoyed flower arranging and painting. Helen also enjoyed firing ceramic plates, playing cards with her neighbors, and spending time at her cottage on Ore Lake. Helen and Don were members of Starr Presbyterian Church in Royal Oak. On February 18, 1950, Helen married H Raymond Heinrich. They enjoyed over 59 years of marriage until his death in 2009. Helen is survived by her second husband, Donald Doty and sons, Kurt (the late Arlene) Heinrich, Keith (Beth) Heinrich, and Randall (the late Carolyn) Heinrich. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Roads) Saturday, September 19, 2020, 4-8pm. Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
