<p>David Richard Lepson, a resident of Ellicott City, MD and member of the Church of the Resurrection passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the age of 55 at Howard County General hospital.</p> <p>Dave is survived by&nbsp;his loving wife, Lynn Gorman Lepson (Brunner), his son Colin, his stepchildren Sean, Brian and Maggie Gorman,&nbsp;his father Richard M. Lepson (Gloria),&nbsp;his sister Beth Lepson Norton&nbsp;(Kevin),&nbsp;his father-in-law Edward Brunner, his brothers-in-law&nbsp;Gregory Brunner (Jennifer), Matthew Brunner (Angela) and Michael Brunner (Michele).&nbsp;&nbsp;He is also survived by&nbsp;his Aunt Mary Jean Parrott (George), Uncles Michael Murray (Mary&nbsp;Clare), Thomas&nbsp;Lepson (Bonnie)&nbsp;and Ronald Lepson (Bobbie) and numerous&nbsp;nieces and nephews that he adored. &nbsp;He&nbsp;was&nbsp;pre-deceased by his mother Nancy Elizabeth Lepson, his mother-in-law Peggy&nbsp;Spioch&nbsp;Brunner and his grandparents&nbsp;Gertrude Lade Murray and&nbsp;Thomas Miles Murray and Milton R.&nbsp;Lepson and Hilda V. Lepson.</p> <p>Dave was&nbsp;born in Baltimore on July 29, 1965 at Saint Agnes Hospital.&nbsp;Dave had strong roots in the&nbsp;Catonsville&nbsp;community. &nbsp;Growing up he could often&nbsp;be found at&nbsp;Rollingwood&nbsp;Pool,&nbsp;the courts on&nbsp;Devere&nbsp;Lane&nbsp;or&nbsp;in the neighborhood around&nbsp;Gralan Road. &nbsp;He graduated from Mt. St.&nbsp;Joseph in 1983 and maintained lifelong friendships with his classmates. He graduated from the University of Baltimore with a degree in Liberal Arts. He worked in the restaurant business for many years where he learned to cook, mix a great cocktail and entertain with an enlightened spirit.&nbsp;</p> <p>On April 2, 2005&nbsp;he married the love&nbsp;of his life Lynn, a CPA,and became a devoted and loving stepfather to her three children; Sean, Brian, and Maggie. On December 9, 2010 Lynn and Dave welcomed their&nbsp;beautiful son Colin&nbsp;into this world who was a very&nbsp;important part of their&nbsp;life&nbsp;and completed their family.</p> <p>Dave loved his family and friends.&nbsp;&nbsp;He had a broad circle of friends who describe him as someone who loved life, was a good man and had a gentle soul.&nbsp;&nbsp;He loved to host holiday celebrations with the family and was always entertaining friends. &nbsp;His favorite party&nbsp;to host&nbsp;was his annual St.&nbsp;Patrick&rsquo;s Day party. &nbsp;Dave was always such a gracious host and made everyone feel like they were at home. &nbsp;He was such a wonderful cook and was often found behind the grill or in the kitchen at his parties. &nbsp;He loved spending time at the beach,&nbsp;at the kids&rsquo; sporting&nbsp;events and with his wife and family around the fire. &nbsp;Dave loved all kinds of music and fast cars, as was evident with his &ldquo;mid-life&rdquo; purchase of a red Mustang convertible. &nbsp;He played the guitar, always had a good joke and had a special knack for technology&nbsp;which led to his career in life with New Enterprise Associates.&nbsp;</p> <p>Dave had a&nbsp;very&nbsp;strong faith and was an&nbsp;active member of the Church of&nbsp;the&nbsp;Resurrection, the&nbsp;Knights of Columbus and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. &nbsp;</p> <p>He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.</p> <p>A&nbsp;visitation&nbsp;will be held at Candle Light, in Catonsville,&nbsp;on Sunday, September 20, from&nbsp;2-4pm.&nbsp;The visitation is outdoors and there is also a stay-in-the-car option. &nbsp;A funeral Mass&nbsp;will be held&nbsp;on Monday, September 21 at 11am at the Church of the Resurrection.&nbsp;&nbsp;All COVID safety precautions will be in place.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers the family&nbsp;is setting up a college fund for&nbsp;Dave and Lynn&rsquo;s&nbsp;9 year old son Colin. &nbsp;Contributions can be&nbsp;made payable to Maryland College Investment Plan, FBO Colin M.&nbsp;Lepson. &nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
