Nita R. Carugno Obituary

Florence: Nita R. Madden Potts Carugno, age 89 of Florence, New Jersey passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020. Mrs. Carugno was born in the District of Columbia and was the daughter of the late Relea and Walter Madden. She resided in Eastampton before moving to Florence 35 years ago. She was the proprietor of her wedding cake and catering business, was an interior designer for Jarons Furniture and was also joint owner of Ray and Nita's Second Time Around antique business. Nita was an amazing woman who unselfishly took care of everyone's needs and was willing to offer a helping hand and share her time and talents with others. She embraced her keen intuition, was passionate about her telephone conversations with family and friends and will be affectionately remembered for her home design skills. Mrs. Carugno and her husband Raymond delighted in collecting and selling antiques on their excursions to Rancocas Woods. She was skilled in the art of superior baking and food preparation which enabled her to maintain a successful wedding cake and catering business for several years. In addition to her parents, Nita was predeceased by her son, David Potts and husband, Raymond J. Carugno. She is survived by her children and a spouse, Susan and Sam Smay, Mark Potts and Jim Potts, her grandchildren and a spouse, Tara Jones, Austin Potts, Heather Goins, Holly and Billy Bilbrough, Robert Potts and Kyle Potts, her great grandchildren, Natalie, Cole, Madilyn, Halle and Bristol and her extended Carugno Family. Funeral services and final disposition will be held privately. Condolences may be sent to www.koschekandporterfuneralhome.com
