Marshall Ames Mummert Obituary

Marshall was born November 3, 1935 in Sioux City, Iowa to Clyde M. & Helene (Paulson) Mummert. He passed away at the age of 84 in Lincoln City, Oregon surrounded by his care team at Lake View Senior Living and North Lincoln Hosptial.

After completing high school Marshall continued his education at UCLA obtaining a degree in Education. He married Carol Linn in Inglewood, California together having one daughter. During his career life Marshall taught Art at Santa Fe Springs High School in Whitter, California for 35 years. He proudly served in the National Guard. Marshall lived mostly in California and retired on the Central Oregon Coast. He was a member of the Nature Conservatory for 40 plus years. Hobbies include; art, music, cats, fine dining & wine, loved long walks on the beach and keeping in contact with his former students.

Left to mourn is Marshall's only daughter, Jeni Mummert of Hawaii, granddaughter Lily Merle and her spouse Mike C., great grandson Isaiah J. Nemeyer, his nephew Paul Ellis and his spouse Nancy of Idaho along with his former students, caregivers and friends.

He was the greatest man we have ever had the privilege of knowing & loving. He will be greatly missed by many.

Per his request there will be no public ceremonies. His family will have a private scattering ceremony on the Pacific Ocean, in Hawaii.
