Robert Bell "Bob" Woomer

            Robert Bell “Bob” Woomer, 60 of Altoona died unexpectedly Tuesday evening September 15, 2020 at his residence.

            He was born July 8, 1960 in Tyrone a son of the late Merle R., Sr. and Edith Marie (Patterson) Woomer.

            Surviving are his fiancé, Diane L. Pfahler; his daughter, Melissa M. Woomer and her son, Damon L. Rogers of Altoona; step-son, Harry L. Colyer (Maria); step-daughter, Sabrina M. Loner (Jon) all of Altoona; step-grandchildren, Ava, Trevor, Bryson and Brody; step-son Eric Barcelona of Lewistown and step-daughter Leslie Barcelona (Troy Force) of Lewistown who were both raised in the family home; step-granddaughter, Marley of Lewistown; sister, Pat Murray (Chet Forshey) of Coalport; brother, Garry Woomer (Nila); sister, Donna Bell (Jim) all of Tyrone; sister-in-law, Cathy Woomer of Port Matilda; and numerous extended family.

            Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Merle R. “Mick” Woomer, Jr.

            He was a 1978 graduate of Tyrone Area High School.

            Bob was employed as a line boss for Gardner’s Candies, Tyrone since 1999.

            He enjoyed shooting pool and working on his ’97 Dodge Ram.

            He was a member of the Blair Eight-Ball League and the St. Stanislaus Club, Altoona.

            Friends will be received from 4-7 pm. Friday September 18, 2020 and 10-11 a.m. Saturday September 19, 2020 at Myers-Somers Funeral Home, Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday. Interment will be made at Bald Eagle Cemetery, Tyrone.
