Helen A. Riley

Helen A. Riley, age 100, died September 15, 2020. Daughter to Ignatz and Margaret Apfel ,born June 13, 1920. Helen lived a long and productive life , she was Supervisor for Parke-Davis pharmaceuticals until her retirement. She was a volunteer for St. John Hospital and a devout Catholic and a parishioner at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church for many years. She is predeceased by her parents and her beloved husband George Riley who died in 1990.Visitation will be Friday, 5 -9 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Ave at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods, Mass Saturday, 12 noon, St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 22412 Over Lake Drive, St. Clair Shores. Helen will be missed by her loving Family and dear friends.

So sorry for your loss. Helen was a wonderful neighbor and we missed her when she moved. We just saw a mass request in the St. Joan Church paper and saw she had died in Sept. There was no notice of her passing in the paper. Sorry to have missed her viewing and funeral.

My dad, Joe Vaughn, was on the second floor with Helen at Shore Pointe. They were great friends. They said the rosary 3 times a week together. Joe died on August 18,2020. They will continue their friendship in heaven. She was a lively lady.
