Dr. Daniel Preston “P” Bonner, 73, of Inwood passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at the Berkeley Medical Center. Born April 24, 1947 in Wick WV he was the son of the late Elonzo Erval Bonner and Ada Sandy Bonner. Dr. Bonner was a veteran of the US Army. He was a dentist by profession, but he was also a well-known dedicated community servant for over four and half decades and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed gardening, walks in the neighborhood, and spending time with family and friends. He was loved and will be greatly missed by many. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Wright Bonner; one daughter, Nicole Bonner; two grandchildren, Alexus Nicole Bonner and Deamonte K. Lindsay; one sister, Janelle Bonner Perkins; two sisters-in-law, Janice Sole Bonner and Hazel Bonner; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. Dan was preceded in death by one son, Zachary Preston Bonner; and two brothers, Edgar L. Bonner and David A. Bonner. The Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood will be open for family to receive friends only from the hours of 6:00PM to 9:00PM on Saturday, September 19, 2020. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 2:00PM at the South Berkeley Chapel. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
