<p>Robert Lee Yelton, 78, of Bakersville, NC passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at this home. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dora Yelton Hoilman, sisters: Gladys Dykes and Linnie Carter; brothers: Bill Yelton, Harold Hoilman and Michael Hoilman. Rob was known for his good sense of humor and he loved people especially his granddaughter.</p> <p>Survivors include his daughter, Felicia Forbes of Bakersville; sisters: Doris Riddle (Gary) of Spruce Pine, Shirley Garland (Gerald) and Gail Hoilman of Bakersville, and Judy Wyant (Ron) of Spruce Pine; brothers: Douglas Hoilman (Ann) of Johnson City,TN, and Donald Hoilman of Bakersville; granddaughter, Kenley Stansberry; and several nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Robert's body will lie in state from 1:00 until 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 19, 2020 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home for anyone who would like to come by. The graveside service will be 2:30 PM in the Bailey Cemetery on John Sparks Road in Bakersville. Rev. Kent Murphy will officiate.
