Lula Clarette Denney
Mrs. Lula Clarette Denney, age 87, of Americus, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. Mrs. Denney was born May 8, 1933, in Ft. Valley, the daughter of the late William and Clara Whittington. Mrs. Denney was a Secretary at Sumter Redi Mix for many years. The family has requested the services to be private. She is survived by two sons Darrell Denney and his wife June of Americus and John Denney and his wife Lisa of Rebecca, Ga.; one daughter Karin Perry and her husband Chris of Americus; a daughter-in-law Beth Denney of Vidalia; a son-in-law Bubba Johnston of Newman; a brother Lavar Whittington of Americus; two sisters Onita Page of Warner Robins and Lovoye Morgan of Muscogee, OK.; also surviving are twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Denney was preceded in death by her husband Harold William Denney, Sr.; a son Bill Denney; a daughter Chris Johnston and three brothers Whitt Whittington, Catfish Whittington, and Tom Whittington. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to be made to the Sumter Humane Society 108 Industrial Blvd, Americus, GA. 31709.May 8, 1933 - September 16, 202005/08/193309/16/2020
