Jean Ellen Hillstead French, 91, of Lindon, Utah passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020.  She was born March 18, 1929 in Lovell, Wyoming to William Henry and Marion Croft Hillstead. 

She lived in Columbus, Montana until the third grade then moved to Dillon, Montana and later settled in Kalispell, Montana where they lived for 67 years. 

Jean met Luther French in grade school.  They started dating while attending Beaver Head County High School and were married November 23, 1946.

She enjoyed crocheting, lace work and doing family genealogy.  She was a friend to everyone, but especially loved spending time with her family.

Jean is survived by her husband Luther, her children; Joyce Allred, Lee Anne (Peter) Soane, James (Cynthia) French.  Brothers; Bill Hillstead and Joel (Rosemary) Hillstead. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert and her daughter Marion French.
