Ancil Franklin "Frankie" Melvin, 66, of Fayetteville, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020 in his home with family by his side.

Born July 22, 1954 in Cumberland County, Frankie was the son of the late Harold Truitt and Virginia Gregory Melvin. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Melvin, and brother, Harold Melvin, Jr.

He is survived by his daughter, Casie Savage and her husband John; daughter, Hailey Soyka; sister, Anne Turner and her husband Roy; sister, Irene Milne and her husband John; sister, Georgie Brown; brother, Royce Melvin; sister, Randy Melvin; brother, Robert Melvin and his wife Yuni; five grandchildren, Eric Savage, Lori Savage, Joseph Savage, Haven Soyka, and Alexander Soyka; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Frankie was a loving father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend who enjoyed spending time with his family, making people laugh, and watching westerns in his spare time. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
