Ronald " RonnieBoy" Edward Tourdot

<p>Ronald E. Tourdot (RonnieBoy), age 64, was called home on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, following a long illness. Ronnie was born on January 25, 1956 in Richland Center, Wisconsin and lived for more than 30 years in the DeForest area. He was a graduate of Weston High School in Cazenovia and received his bachelor&rsquo;s degree from the University of Wisconsin in Green Bay.</p> <p>Throughout his time with us, Ronnie held positions in insurance, construction, quality assurance and retail, and most recently worked as a general merchandise expert at Target in Sun Prairie. In his heart, however, he was a farmer. He was a die-hard fan of dairy cows and John Deere Tractors.</p> <p>Ronnie&rsquo;s talents included playing piano and harmonica, sketching, painting, woodworking, writing computer programs, photography, and storytelling. He excelled at making friends and will be remembered by many for his keen sense of humor.</p> <p>He is survived by his siblings Joan Roessler, Ken (JoAnn) Tourdot, Judy (Jack) Laufenberg, Diane Smith, Sandra (Ken) Roh, Tom (Lisa) Tourdot, and Janice (Jim) Mashak and a multitude of nieces and nephews.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his father, Olamp Tourdot; his mother, Lorena Tourdot; a sister, Lucille Dyke; and two brothers-in-law, Lyle Dyke and Jerry Smith.</p> <p>Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Olaf Catholic Parish Church, 623 Jefferson St, Deforest, on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jared Holzhuter presiding. Burial will follow at St. Olaf Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass</p> <p>The family wishes to thank the care teams of the UW Hospital in Madison, Skaalen Nursing &amp; Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton, and Agrace Hospice for their exceptional care and support as Ronnie made his transition to his home in Heaven. The family also acknowledges Ronnie&rsquo;s many friends from the DeForest and Sauk City areas and from Target, the DeForest Area Community Center, and the DeForest Housing Authority for their compassion and concern.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation to St. Olaf&rsquo;s Catholic Church in DeForest or Skaalen Retirement Services in Stoughton.</p> <p>&ldquo;The happiest of people don&rsquo;t necessarily have the best of everything. Ronald E. Tourdot (RonnieBoy), age 64, was called home on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, following a long illness.
