Marilyn J. (Sprague) Mills, age 82, of Lynn, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 15, 2020.  She was the beloved wife of Donald F. Mills, who she met at the Christmas Eve midnight mass at St. Mary’s Church in Lynn in 1955.  She was predeceased by her parents, Marie (Irvine) Camuso and Arthur Sprague.  She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Girls High School, class of 1955, and Essex Aggie School of Nursing, class of 1969.  Marilyn had a long and compassionate career in nursing at Jesmond Nursing Home, New England Home for the Deaf, Puritan Medical, Medical East, and Union Hospital.  After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed over 20 years in Florida.  She loved music and animals.  Her family was her greatest joy. She is the cherished mother of Lynette and Joe Lopez, Thomas and Maureen Broughey, James and Colleen Broughey, Laurene Gilbert, Lisa and Jeff Sakowich, and Timothy Broughey.  She also leaves 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Marianna Bowden and Jaci Sloden, her beloved therapy dog, Mandi; her loving cat, Sundance, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She was the sister of the late Donna D’Eon, Frances Burgess, Lillian Everhart and Roberta Dickinson.  The family would like to give special thanks to Maria Lamas, her loving caretaker. Her visiting hours will be on Friday from 4-7PM in the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 67 Ocean St (Rt 1A), Lynn.  Visitation will follow Covid guidelines.  There will be a procession from the funeral home to Pine Grove Cemetery on Saturday at 11AM, to which relatives and friends are also invited.  Those who prefer may make a donation in her memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
