William "Bill" Earl Sholders

<p>William Earl &quot;Bill&quot;&nbsp;Sholders, age 82, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 15th 2020.</p> <p>Bill was born on February 4th 1938 in Clear Creek, Indiana to Jesse and Mary Sholders. He was the youngest of three children. As a very young child he lived in a log cabin just south of Oblong, Illinois. A few years later the family moved into town were Bill attended school and graduated in 1958 from Oblong High School. During his teen years, he met Beverly Newlin&nbsp;and made her his bride in February of 1959.</p> <p>In 1958, Bill enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served until 1963 teaching aircraft mechanics on B-52 bombers. Upon leaving the military, he moved his wife and young daughter to Texas, settling in Burleson in 1964. A son would join them in 1968. This young family became members of the First Christian Church of Burleson were Bill enjoyed singing in the choir, being an elder and passing out hugs. He loved his church family.</p> <p>His most favorite pastime was to gather outdoors with family and friends for camping, fishing and hunting.</p> <p>Bill was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Mary Sholders and two sisters Patricia Tracy and Grace Evelyn Sholders.</p> <p>He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Beverly Sholders, daughter Lori Chernosky and husband Jeff; son Ryan Sholders and wife Janet; grandkids Alexis, Erica, Mikaela, Ashley, Garrett and great-grandkids Hazel and Kaeson.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers donations can be made to First Christian Church P O Box 57, Burleson Texas 76097</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Visitation: Monday 5-7 PM Mountain Valley Funeral Home</p> <p>Service: Tuesday 10 AM Mountain Valley Funeral Home</p> <p>Burial: DFW National Cemetery 1:30 PM Lane 3</p>

William Earl "Bill" Sholders, age 82, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 15th 2020.
