Gary Allen Glover

Gary Allen Glover, 72, of Terra Alta died Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at home with family. The son of the late Wilma A. Cole and Ralph P. Glover, Sr., he was born March 26, 1948 in Kingwood. Gary served in the U.S. Army for 26 years. He was a Chief Warrant Officer 3 and served with the 201st Field Artillery during Desert Storm. He was a member of the Terra Alta Masonic Lodge #106. He was a member of the Terra Alta Volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping in the great outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his devil dogs, Matilda and Bear. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda (Guthrie) Glover; three sons, Gary "Chip" (Chandra) Glover II of GA, Stephen "Benji" (Laura) Glover of Oakland and Shaun (Leticia) Lambert of Reedsville; a brother Ralph "Sonny" Glover of Charleston; 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a very special nephew, Andrew (Holly) Glover. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Marsha Kay Metheny; a brother, David A. Glover; a sister, Loretta Moyers and sister-in-law, Marti Lou Glover. Donations may be made in his memory to the Terra Alta Ambulance, PO Box 384, Terra Alta, WV 26764, Terra Alta VFD, 1120 East State Avenue, Terra Alta, WV 26764 or the Terra Alta Masonic Lodge #106 c/o Chuck Fultz, 553 Cranesville Road, Terra Alta, WV 26764. I served with Mr. Glover in the 201st before, during, and after Desert Storm. What a great man and good friend.Everything that my unit had was becausehe and his section made it happen.
