Jerry Milam, of Broken Bow, passed from this life, September 15, 2020, at the age of 67.

Jerry was born, January 30, 1953, in Hugo, OK, to James Milam and Evelyn (Willhite) Milam.

Jerry was raised in Broken Bow and graduated from Broken Bow High School, in 1971. After high school, he attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University, in Durant, for two years, and then two years, at the Texarkana Technical College, where he graduated with honors. He loved all kinds of sports, but most of all, he loved his family – ALL of them. Jerry also loved writing music, books, and poems; he published two books. He was a good-hearted man, who laughed easy and loved hard. He enjoyed making everyone else laugh too. He was of the Christian faith. Jerry will be deeply missed by all.

He was preceded in death by parents, James and Evelyn Milam; and his stepfather, J.B. Brockus.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Rebecca Ann Milam, of the home; children, Tina McDaniel Strawn, and Todd Finley, both of Haworth; brother, James Milam, Jr., of Portland, TN; sister, Charlene Jordan, of Broken Bow; grandchildren, Kayla Wilkerson, Amber Strawn, and Rance Strawn; great-grandchildren, Haley Wilkerson, Paizlee Wilkerson, Johnathan Wilkerson, Tripp River Finley, Lawson Milam, Fable Strawn, Marley Strawn, Limb Strawn, and Atlle Strawn; also, numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

 

An evening of visitation for family and friends will be held on, Friday, September 18, 2020, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, at the Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 19, 2020, at the Oak Grove Cemetery, in Broken Bow, OK.
