Hyde, Doreen, 79, of Port Charlotte, FL died September 13, 2020. She was born on May 13, 1941, to Crosby and Edna Hawthorne in Hartford, Connecticut. She retired from Walmart after 25 years of service. During her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and relaxing outdoors with a good book. She was predeceased by her parents, Crosby and Edna; her husband Harold “Woody” Hyde; her daughter Lisa Rizzuto; and her son Jason Hyde. She is survived by three sons, Frank DeMay and daughter-in-law Denise; Michael DeMay; and Stephen DeMay; in addition to her son-in-law, George Rizzuto. She leaves 3 grandchildren Frank DeMay and his wife Samantha, Heather Rizzuto, and her fiancé Eli and Josh Rizzuto and his wife Alex. Doreen was blessed with five grandchildren: Ilea, Andrew, Kaden, Riley, and Sawyer. She also leaves behind a few dear friends including, Sue Ferriori, Debbie Countryman, and Cynthia Sclease. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 3, 2020, from 1-4 PM at 342 Reading Street NW, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
