Braunton, Douglas Wayne It is with heavy hearts the family of Douglas Wayne Braunton announces his passing after a long fought battle with cancer, on September 15th, 2020 at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Darlene (Nee Hart) of 39 special years. Loving father of Candice (Dave) Lee of Ailsa Craig, Sheri Redick of London, Michael Shea (Brandi) of Mt. Brydges, Carrie Japp of Strathroy, and Lori Braunton (Camil) of Montreal. Doug was the proud and cherished Papa of 12 grandchildren. Survived by his siblings Bob (Marnie) Braunton of Dorchester, Jim Braunton of Oshawa, Wendy (Kevin) Gorman of Dorchester, Merri (Larry) Kirk of Kincardine, Patty Braunton of British Columbia, and sister Marge (Bill) Hooper of British Columbia, and his brother-in-law Al Caddy of Dorchester. Predeceased by his sister Nita Caddy, Darlene Fugard and his brother Ron Braunton. Doug will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. As per Doug’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private Celebration of Doug’s life will take place at a later date.
