Margaret Laura Proctor Camby, 93, of Rutherfordton went home to be with her Lord on September 15, 2020. Margaret worked as a seamstress in textiles and was a faithful member of Green Hill Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Samuel B. Proctor and Lela Walker Proctor. She is also preceded in death by her husband Nathan A. Camby, and brothers Sam Proctor Jr., and Robert Proctor. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Marilyn (Buster) Long, Phyllis (Richard) McBrayer, and Joyce (Roger) Waters, a sister, Betty Cochran, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 3PM on Friday September 18, 2020 at Green Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Matthew Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
