James Larry Green Obituary

James Larry Green, age 71, of Queen City, Texas, went to be with the Lord Sunday, September 13, 2020 in a Little Rock, Arkansas Hospital. Larry was born August 21, 1949, in Cass County, Texas, to Monroe and Irene Green. He was in Farm Equipment Sales; and was a member of First Baptist Church, Queen City. He enjoyed going to auctions; playing blackjack; and was an avid football fan and loved whatever team was winning. He was preceded in death by his son, Kendall Green; sister, Alice Wicks; and his parents, Monroe Green and Irene Green Hale. Larry was as close to perfect as you could get. He was caring, generous, loving, compassionate to everyone he met. He had a laugh and twinkle in his eyes that would just make your days better. He loved his family and he loved his friends just like family. The love and support of family and friends were so important to him and you knew without a doubt the feeling was mutual. There were so many friends that he just wanted to come home and tell them one more time how much he loved and respected them and he knew the feelings were mutual. Larry loved auctions and making sweet deals. He thrived on work and that is where he shined. He loved BBQ cookouts, his cows, bush hogging, telling jokes to brighten your day and make you smile. He was our Rock our Sounding Board always there when you needed him. I will love you for ever and ever, and always and always and then some. Love you Baby, Joyce He is survived by his wife, Joyce Green; two sons, Brian Green and wife Patricia, Chris Green; daughter, Anita Wallen; brother, Melvin Green and wife Janie; sister, Maxine Clayton; grandchildren, Dexter Wallen, Kayla Green, Kasey Green, Mary Ann Green; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, September 18, 2020 at First Baptist Church, Queen City, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Bro. Jim Looby officiating.
