Leo Clark McKeown Obituary

Leo Clark McKeown, 66, of Wickliffe, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020.

Born July 24, 1954 in Pittsburgh, PA and was a lifelong Northeast Ohio resident, having lived in Wickliffe for the past 44 years.

He was a graduate of Willoughby South High School and Lakeland Community College. He was a member of Shoregate United Methodist Church in Willowick, a former volunteer leader with his sons’ Boy Scout Troop 289 in Wickliffe and enjoyed camping, barbecuing, and photography. He also served several years as the announcer for the Wickliffe High School Swing Band.

Mr. McKeown worked as a medical photographer at the Cleveland Clinic for six years, and then was self-employed for over ten years as the owner of the former Mailer’s Printing in Cleveland, and most recently as a salesman for the former Don Jordan Chrysler/Jeep dealership in Beachwood.

Survivors are his wife of 44 years, Beth A. (Bundy) McKeown; sons, Ben (Rachel) McKeown and Tom (Sonya) McKeown; grandchildren, Robbie, Phoebe, Natalie, Jacob, and Brendan; and his brother, Timothy (Lou Ann Phelps) McKeown and their family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas L. and Jean (Kinneer) McKeown.

Due to COVID-19, the family will plan a celebration of his life at a later time.
