Raymond Lamar Jones

Raymond Lamar Jones, age 78, of Talking Rock passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at his residence. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Sharp Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Harold Cantrell officiating. The family will receive friends at Sosebee Funeral Home on Friday, September 18th from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Mr. Jones was a member of Sharp Mountain Baptist Church. He loved working, farming and running machinery. He was preceded in death by his parents, R.C. and Grace Jones; brother, George Jones; and sister, Shelby Bryson. Raymond is survived by his wife, Lou Jones; children, Shelia Jones Garrison and Lamar Jones (Vickie); grandchildren, Wesley Garrison and Mashay Wilson; great-grandchildren, Zayden Cain and McKenna Wilson; sister, Barbara Edwards (Arvid); sister-in-law, Mildred Jones; and several nieces and nephews. Due to COVID-19 facial coverings are required, no food is permitted and limited seating is available due to social distancing requirements.
