Ian G. Menzies

HITCHCOCK - Mr. Ian G. Menzies passed from this life in September 2020, in Hitchcock. Ian was born in 1939 and enjoyed his life to the fullest. He loved traveling all over the world alongside his wife especially back to his birthplace, South Africa. Ian retired from Amoco as a marine engineer and enjoyed playing pool and golfing in his spare time. His humor and zest for life was unparalleled and we will miss him greatly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Caroline Menzies, several Aunts, Uncles, cousins and his fur baby, Sugar.

Survivors include his loving wife, Roxy Shea; ex-wife, Alice Menzies; daughter, Sandra Ahlhorn and husband, Craig; granddaughter, Samantha Ahlhorn; daughter, Karen Menzies; son-in-law, David Grimes and family; surrogate son, James Sones and wife, Laura; his fur baby Buddy; special friends Reta Parker, Rita Harrington, friends and relatives all over the world.

A private cremation was performed under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
