It is with great sadness the family of Kirk Ackley announces his passing after a relentless battle with cancer at the age of 66, on September 15, 2020. Kirk will always be remembered for his deep passion of music, love of hunting, fishing and a good slot machine. He had the ability to tell jokes and had a million of them. His time as a Napa counterperson was some of his best memories and the friends he made there. He was always the loudest person in a room and could let a fart that could stand up to a 20-mph wind. Kirk had many friends and could tell a story about every one of them. He had a smile that let you know he was glad that you were there. He was compassionate and never grasped how he influenced and touched so many lives in his lifetime. Kirk will be remembered as the man who married twice to women name Patricia, Patti Goodwin, Patti with and “I” and Patty Saunders – Patty with a “Y”. He and Patty had 27 years together living their dream on their property watching the sunset behind the Stuart Range. He had four daughters & son-in-law’s whom he was most proud and loved deeply. Shannon and Mike and Erika and Galib. He chose to raise and father, Misty and Carl and Victoria and Dennis. He had six grandchildren, Diondre, Claire, Madison, Noah, Ruby and Evie. A brother, Dennis (Mary) and sister Jill (George). He was preceded in death his parents Jack, & Sammy Ackley and sister, Judy Long. Kirk passed at home surrounded by his family. He died sober and a man of faith. Always take time to stop and smell the roses. A celebration of his life is being planned for Spring of 2021.
