Miller-Bannar, Kathleen (Kathy) April 29, 1955 – September 15, 2020 Kathleen Miller-Bannar of Cherry Hill, NJ passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020 after heroically living with cancer. Beloved wife and best friend of Michael Bannar. Loving mother of Jordan Bannar, whom she lovingly referred to as “her person” of Cherry Hill and the late Jared Bannar. Loving daughter of the late Robert and Rita Miller. Dear sister of Susan Hall (Raymond) of Annville, PA and Robert Miller of Stuart, FL. Dear sister-in-law of the Bannar’s; Theresa, Marylou, Raymond, Joan, Richard, James, the late Robert, and Rosemary. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Kathy began volunteering in Cherry Hill when her children attended elementary school. She alternated years as her children’s room mother and ran the election day bake sale. When her children enrolled in little league, she served on the board of the Cherry Hill Youth Athletic Association, where she ran the snack bar for 5 years. She was President of Cherry Valley Swim Club. In 2008, Kathy founded the Staying Alive Walk for Suicide Awareness and Prevention. All proceeds were donated to Contact Community Helplines. The walks were an annual event in Cherry Hill through 2014. Kathy was an avid baker. It gave her great pleasure to share her baked goods and candies with her co-workers, the healthcare workers at Penn Medicine, and family members. Visitation Friday morning 9:30 to 11:15am at Christ Our Light Church, 402 N. Kings Highway, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 11:30am. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, Kathy asked that any donations be made to your favorite charity.
