<p>Mearl Henry Voth, 87, of Goodhue, died Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at Bayview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Red Wing. He was born March 14, 1933, in Goodhue Township, to Harold and Emma (Scharpen) Voth and attended rural schools and Goodhue High School. Following high school, he served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. On November 30, 1963, he was united in marriage to Shirley Klopf at Eidsvold Lutheran Church in Esdaile, Wisconsin. He farmed for many years in Goodhue Township in partnership with his dad. He was a member of St. John&rsquo;s Lutheran Church, rural Goodhue and the Leo C. Peterson American Legion #54. Mearl enjoyed the outdoors and being on the farm and enjoyed the blessing of his grandchildren and spending time with them and his family.<br /> <br /> He is survived by his wife, of 56 years, Shirley Voth of Goodhue; 2 sons, Paul Voth of Goodhue and Tim (Kim) Voth of Rochester; 2 grandchildren, Mason and Jada; 1 sister, Marilyn Hammer of New Brighton and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Elizabeth Watters.<br /> <br /> Visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020 at St. John&rsquo;s Lutheran Church, rural Goodhue. Masks are required and social distancing will be followed. A private family service will follow. Burial will take place at the church cemetery.
