Allie Paige Thompson Obituary

Allie Paige Thompson, age 18 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, KY.

 

She was a 2020 graduate of Henry County High School where she played softball, basketball, and was a member of FFA.  She was attending Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN, where she was majoring in criminal justice.  Allie loved the outdoors and animals, especially her dogs Chaco and Ozzy.  She enjoyed working and was currently employed at Ace’s Pizza in Paris and formerly worked at Kroger.  She loved spending time on the family farm.  Allie enjoyed art, nature, sunsets, road trips, fishing, mudding, and the lake.  She also enjoyed country music and watching her brother, Ethan play football at Murray State University.  Allie loved her family, friends, and life itself, and her life was a blessing to so many.   

 

Allie was born July 4, 2002, in Paris, TN, to Reggie Thompson and Christy Clark Thompson, who both survive, of Paris, TN.

 

Along with her parents, she is also survived by six siblings, Ethan Thompson of Murray, KY, Shontel Thompson of Chattanooga, TN, Ty Thompson of Clarksville, TN, Kobe Thompson of Paris, TN, Tyler Long of Murray, KY, and Alanna Thompson-Long of Murray, KY; grandmothers, Nancy Clark and special friend, Gary Hunter of Paris, TN, and Celeste Thompson of Paris, TN; grandfather, Odell (Jeannie) Long of Paris, TN; great grandmother, Ruthie Parker of Paris, TN; special aunts, uncles, and family, Jeremy and Jennifer Clark, Maurice and Keshia Thompson, Mustafa Ab-Salaam, Michael and Lisa Parker, Dusty and Cheryl Stout, Brook and Elvis Ray, Momma Misty and Mike Vermillion, Jerry and Kathy Clark, Tammy Powell, Tiffany and Carlos McCutcheon, and Lydia Flowers and family; cousins, Ethan Anderson, Conner Clark, Abby Grace Parker, Tianna McCutcheon, Madison Puckett, Jacinda Bates, Jayce Reddick, Brice Donaldson, Jakari Dunlap, Macy Vermillion, Mattie Vermillion, Madison Vermillion, and Tykese Tharpe; specials friends, Paige King, Bricen May, Mykel Williams, Cortavious Patton, Jermarcus Johnson, Rylan Perry, Lexie Watkins, and Gavin Gordon; and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends. 

 

She was preceded in death by one grandfather, Terry “Papa” Clark; one great grandfather, Wallace Parker; and one uncle, Gary Norman Parker.

 

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Saturday, September 19, 2020, from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at Sulphur Well Church of Christ, 1760 Oak Grove Road South, Springville, TN 38256.  The funeral service will be Saturday, September 19, 2020, at 1:00 pm at Sulphur Well Church of Christ, with Randy Stephens and Dusty Stout officiating.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Mykel Williams, Bricen May, Cortavious Patton, Jermarcus Johnson, Rylan Perry, Davy Harrod, Gavin Gordon, and Jalen Foster.  Named as honorary pallbearers are Sylas Allen, Lucas Wofford, Jayce Reddick, Brice Donaldson, Cooper Smith, Samari Rack, Donyah Teague, and Duncan Bennett.

 

Burial will be in VanDyke Church of Christ Cemetery in Paris, TN.
