<p>Patricia &quot;Patty&quot; Denardo, passed quietly in her sleep Monday, September 8, 2020 at River Glen Health Care Center of Southbury, CT.<br /> Born March 14, 1937 in Waterbury, CT, Patty was preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry Druan and George Druan; grandson, Tayler Sebring; and brother-in-law, Roger Doyon.<br /> Patty is survived by her: husband, Richard Denardo, Sr; sister, Ginger Doyon; brother, Thomas Druan and his wife Maria; sister-in-law, Trudy Druan, wife of Jerry Druan; son, Mark Rinaldi and his wife Evelyn; daughter, Janet Rinaldi; daughter, Marybeth Young and her husband Ben; son, Richard Denardo, Jr and his wife Mary; grandchildren, Jared Young, Courtney Denardo, Richard &quot;Trey&quot; Denardo III, Jaclyn and her husband Rob Remillard, Adam and his wife Kristie Fleischer; great grandchildren, Nate, Ella, Kellen, Adeline; many nieces and nephews; and her extended family at Omega Institute for Holistic Studies located in Rhinebeck, NY.<br /> Patty lived a long and diverse life touching the lives of so many people during her journey. As an AIDS counselor she was able to help many persons who have not forgotten her compassion and willingness to go out on a limb to assist wherever she could in helping individuals understand and deal with this terrible disease. Her love of animals was well known throughout her community and she never hesitated to adopt older dogs in need of a home. Patty&#39;s love of the campus at Omega helped her to overcome many difficult obstacles and as her M.S. progressed, she spent many hours on the Omega campus in reflection and obtained an inner peace that helped her to deal with her insurmountable health issues.<br /> As per her wishes her ashes will be scattered at the Omega campus to forever blend with the full nature of the peace provided by the Omega philosophy of holistic healing and the peace it provided to Patty these last few years.<br /> Arrangements have been entrusted to Luddy-Peterson Funeral Home. At this time the family is not planning a visitation or memorial service due to the current pandemic and Patty&#39;s wishes. We do ask that those of you who knew her take a moment to reflect on the joy she bought to each one of us in her special way and remember her extraordinary sense of humor and smile.
