J. Keith Abraham Richfield, Utah Obituary

J. Keith Abraham

Keith Abraham

Central Valley, Utah

J. Keith Abraham, 85, returned peacefully to his Heavenly Father on September 16, 2020 at his home in Central Valley, surrounded by family. Keith was born December 15, 1934 to William Arthur and Mary Jane Anderton Abraham and was proud to be the last living of his siblings. He married Joanne Barney, March 15, 1956 in the Manti LDS Temple. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Keith loved his family and loved spending time with them. A favorite was spending numerous summers at the cabin on Monroe Mountain. It didn’t matter what he was doing, whether it was fishing, catching polliwogs or cutting wood, he enjoyed it to the fullest. He was a frugal and simple man. He didn’t need or require much and was a devoted teacher to his children and grandchildren. Livestock and the weekly Richfield auction brought joy to his life. He always had plenty of animals around.

He was successful in several professions throughout his life, Keith especially enjoyed working with people and working with Lane at the produce stand. There wasn’t a stranger who came in to his life that didn’t leave as a friend. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humor that left some wondering where he was headed and he loved sharing his stories with everyone.

Keith was known for making and donating nearly 10,000 hats to many humanitarian causes and was very thankful to the many people who donated yarn.

Keith is survived by his wife, Joanne; children: Holly Mitchell, Provo; Lane (Leslie) Abraham, Central Valley; Terry (Mitzi) Abraham, Richfield; Kandace (Byron) Muir, Minersville; Dana (Mark) Stewart, Central Valley; Gaylie (Trent) Allen, Elsinore; 19 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Brenda Abraham.

Preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Rue (Gloria) Abraham, Ray Abraham, Gayle Abraham, Ramona (CleeMont) Peterson, Billy Abraham.

The family would like to thank IHC Hospice, especially Kevin Anderson, P.A., and Rose Dickens, R.N.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, where friends may call Monday evening from 6-7 p.m. and prior to the services from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery.
