John E. White Waycross, Georgia Obituary

John E. White

Johnnie Edward White (John) was born April 24, 1950 to the late Ray Luther White, Sr. and Marie White in Pearson, Ga. At an early age Marie White moved the family to Waycross, Ga. where Johnnie received his education through Ware County Public School System. Because of his good boy attitude and determination, an eldergave him the nickname "Johnnie Be Good". At 15yrs old, Young Johnnie left Waycross to start his own journey in life by traveling and living in different states like Illinois and Louisiana. At 19, he found himself in Miami, FL. where he stayed for the next 48 years. Throughout time John worked for many great jobs. He served in the US Army, worked for the railroad, he was a construction worker and he worked at Jackson Memorial Health System. But deep down he was an entrepreneur. He owned Ocean Blue Seafood Market in Opa-Locka, Fl. and Old Fashion Seafood Food Truck. As a well known countryman, fisherman and hunter, Johnnie went back home in 2018 and settled on his farm in Fitzgerald, Ga.; enjoying his life and living in peace. Johnnie leaves behind an incredible legacy of love, strength and endurance. He was a go-getter and tried to instill that mentality to everyone he came across. He'll always be remembered for his handsome smile with a heavy laugh, the impact that he had in his children's lives, and best fried seafood ever! Johnnie was preceded in death by his daughter Shavon K. White; Siblings: George White, Ray Luther White Jr., Geneva Williams, Marie White, Mary Lou Williams, and Lillie Mae Edmond. Johnnie is survived by daughter Nicole D. White; sons: Jawon R. White Sr., Reginald W. Burke, Don E. White (Ashley) and Donte' L. White; 4 grandchildren: Jawon R. White, Jr., Jaquan R. White, Rasheed J. White and Kayla Burke; 3 siblings: Jesse White, Ella Mae Brown and Betty White; Special love Doris Smart; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.
