Judy McKinney, 86, of Quincy, IL, passed away at 10:52 pm Monday, September 14, 2020 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy. A graveside service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy. A.J. Getz will officiate. The family is being served by the O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home in Quincy. Judy was born March 4, 1934, in Quincy, IL to Walter and Marie Leonard Williams. She was married to Daniel B. McKinney on August 11, 1951 in Hillsboro, MO. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1979. Survivors include one grandson, Ryan M. Grim of Quincy, IL; two great-grandchildren, Lexington Grim and Kaden Grim; one brother, Walter Williams (Becky) of Baton Rouge, LA; four sisters, Phyllis Riggs of Quincy, IL, Donna Mayer of San Antonio, TX, Linda Getz (A.J.) of Maywood, MO, and Mary Hampsmire (Brian) of Payson, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. In addition to her husband, Judy was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Danna McKinney Grim; and one sister, Pat Rusk. Judy previously worked at Whiskey Downs. She went on to be a bus driver and rider for Quincy Public Schools for over 20 years. Judy loved playing games on the computer, camping in her Winnebago, shopping, and square dancing. She had horses and rode with her sister, and they enjoyed attending the World Horse Show together in Ava, MO. Judy was artistic and crafty, and loved flower arranging and decorating for holidays. Most of all, Judy loved her family; she especially enjoyed her dog, "Patch", and watching her grandson, Ryan, play the drums. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
