William "Bill" Hunt

William "Bill" B. Hunt, 74, passed away September 8th after a long battle with COPD & Emphysema. Bill was born to William & Ylaria Hunt on August 17, 1946 in Klamath Falls. He graduated from Klamath Union High School in 1964 & spent 4 years in the Navy after which he hired on with the Great Northern Railroad. Bill retired in 2001 with the now Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. Bill married Patti Dixon in 1996 after 10 years together. He was an avid hunter of different animals & loved to fish, especially in Arizona. Road trips were always a favorite pasttime. After retiring, Bill & Patti spent their winters going south to warmer weather. Bill is survived by his wife Patti, daughter Brandi & son in law Bert of Klamath Falls, stepson Brad Knox of Los Angeles, Ca., grandson Kyle Dixon of Wilsonville & granddaughter Cadence Hunt of Longview, Wa. along with many nieces & nephews. Special friends he left behind are Bruce Snyder, Clarence Nealy, & JD Johnson. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, son Kevin Hunt, & sisters Helen O'Connor & Delores (Pete) Thornton. Per Bill's wishes there will be no services & he asked that his ashes be scattered up at Lincoln on Highway 66.
