Ms. Dollie Mae Perkins-Henry


With sincere compassion, and empathy we respectfully announce the transition of Ms. Dollie Mae Perkins-Henry. 

Dollie Mae Perkins-Henry, a  resident of Montgomery, AL and  native of Pinckard, AL, passed from this life into eternity on September 8th, 2020. She was 64 years old. Public Visitation will be Friday, September 18th, 2020 from 4-7 PM in the Chapel of Jackson Professional Funeral Services. In compliance with the directives issued by Mayor Reed as well as the CDC guidelines, ALL individuals attending the visitation and/or funeral services are REQUIRED to wear a mask or suitable face covering at ALL times while inside of the facility. Graveside & Interment Services will be held on Saturday, September 19th, 2020 at 1 PM in Perote Colored Cemetery, Union Springs, AL.

Dollie Mae was the 8th child born to William and Isabell Perkins. She was raised in the Dale County area, and completed her early education in Daleville, AL. She also studied at Knapps Business College. Ms. Henry truly lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed the simple pleasures; chatting with family and friends, fishing, cookouts, and especially spending time with her        grandchildren. Dollie accepted Christ at an early age. In her recent years, she was employed with Angels of Mercy, and an active member with the Helping Hands Ministries in  Montgomery, AL.

Left to cherish her memories are; one daughter: Valerie Hill (Edward); two grandchildren: Derrick Rowe, and Quincy Perkins; two great grandchildren: Matthew Rowe, and Timothy Rowe; one sister: Catherine Rogers; two brothers: Clarence Perkins, and Jerome Perkins; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Dollie was preceded in death by her parents; one sister: Betty Dean Ross; and three brothers: Robert Jones, William Perkins, Jr, and Willie James Perkins.
