Obituary

It is with great sadness that Alberta Parsons, wife of 62 years of the late Walter Job Parsons, announce his passing at the Green Bay Health Care Centre in Springdale on September 14, 2020, at the age of 86 years old. Job was born to Sydney and Camilla Parsons on December 31, 1933, in Lushes Bight, Newfoundland. After 33 years in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Master Warrant Officer, C.D., he retired in 1985 and they made their home in Springdale.

Job Parsons was known for his involvement in the Masonic Fraternity throughout the world. He was initiated in Trent Lodge, Trenton, Ontario, in 1967 and served the Craft faithfully until his recent death. He was affiliated with Masonic Lodges in West Germany and most Canadian Provinces. He held many positions, too many to list here, in Capitulary Masonry, Cryptic Masonry, Constantinian Masonry, Chivalric Orders, York Rite Sovereign College of North America, Holy Royal Arch Knights Templar Priests, and York Cross of Honor.

After moving to Springdale he joined Notre Dame Lodge No. 6 and became Master in 1992-93. He was instrumental in the establishment of James Strong Chapter of Royal Arch Masons in Springdale. Throughout his life and Masonic Journey, his loving wife Alberta supported him and his work. Not only will Alberta miss Job, the entire Masonic Craft will do likewise.

Leaving to mourn with his wife Alberta are his cousins and his worldwide Masonic family.
