<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Wayne Robert Fauteck, 71, passed away September 10, 2020. Funeral Services will be held Thursday September 17, 2020 at Casselton Cemetery Casselton, ND. Visitation for family and friends is 2-3pm with family services at 3:30pm.</p> <p>Wayne was born in Fargo North Dakota to Ardell and Dwaine Fauteck on February 26, 1949. He lived in Chafee North Dakota for a few years until his family moved to West Fargo where he attended school and graduated from West Fargo High School. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1967 and remained on active duty for 10 years serving as an Administrative Chief. During his time in the Marine Corps he spent three tours of duty in Vietnam, and had assignments in the state of Michigan, Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan and Camp Lejeune, N.C. After leaving the Marine Corps Wayne was hired as a correctional officer for the Bay County Sheriff&rsquo;s Department in Michigan.&nbsp;In 1980 he moved back to North Dakota&nbsp;and worked as a heavy equipment operator for Wanzek Construction Company of West Fargo. In 1997 he began a new position as a maintenance worker for Fraser Ltd. He retired from that position in August of 2016.</p> <p>Wayne was the proud father of two girls, Christine and Cheryl, and happy to be the grandfather to three grandsons - Eli, Chase and Crosby. He was at his happiest when he got to spend time with them. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He always looked forward to his time at the lake. He also loved to tinker and happily assisted his neighbors on their to-do lists. There weren&rsquo;t many handyman jobs that he hesitated to take on.
