Kimberly Gayle Avery Obituary

Kimberly Gayle Avery, 57, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 11, 2020, after a battle with cancer. Kim was born on February 2, 1963 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was an avid barrel racer that loved her horse show family. She enjoyed her time at the barn with her chickens and horses and spending time with her family. She graduated in 1980 from Andrew Jackson High School and worked at Keefe group.

Kimberly is preceded in death by her parents; June and George Mullis and grandson, Michael. She is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Robert Avery; son, Wayne; daughter, Amy Pittman (Chris); sister, Karen Adams (Mike); brother in law, Kenny Avery (Cindy); sister in law, Sherryl Hubbard (Butch); grandchildren, Dylan, Hannah, Brandon, Blaine and Mason; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Kim was the rock of her family and will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 11:00 am in the chapel at Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Road, Jacksonville with Elaine Brown officiating. The family will be gathering after the service at the home of Kim and Robert Avery for food and fellowship.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Community Hospice of North East Florida.
