Mary P. Wishart Obituary

Mary P. Wishart, 81 of Jekyll Island, Ga., formerly of Randolph, NY, passed away peacefully, Thursday, August 20, 2020 in the home of her daughter in Salisbury, MD, While under the care of Hospice. She was born September 12, 1938 in Franklin Forks, Pa., the daughter of the late Ellsworth Palmer and Charlotte Herbert Lotterio. Mary was a 1956 graduate of LaSalle High School in Niagara Falls, and the Erie County Technical Institute in Buffalo. Mary was married to Donald J. Wishart on May 2, 1959, moving to Randolph, NY in 1960, Mary had worked for Register Graphics in Randolph for many years, later she owned and operated the Country Ladies Antiques and gift store in Randolph, and long with Gayle Kartman, organized and hosted the Cinnamon Bear Craft Show, annually in Randolph for 10 years. Mary’s membership’s included, Randolph United Presbyterian Church, Randolph Area Business Association (Charter member), Jekyll Island Garden Club, Great Dunes Ladies Golf League, Friend of Historic Jekyll Island, and many Mah Jong Groups. Following retirement, Don and Mary moved to Jekyll Island in 1992, Mary worked at the Commissary and Museum Gift Shop. She is survived by; two daughters: Heather W. Holmes (Stephen) from Salisbury, Maryland; Melissa A. Adams (John) Randolph, New York. 8 grandchildren: Scott A. DePietro (Rachel) of Houston, TX, Nicole Springer (Robert) Tampa, FL, Garrett DePietro (Mission, TX) Caleigh DePietro (Orlando, FL), Lucas and Stephanie Holmes (Salisbury, MD) and Wyatt and Amanda Adams (Randolph, NY). 2 great granddaughters Khloe and Laura DePietro (Houston, TX) and 2 great grandsons Kallen and Carson Springer (Tampa, FL). Mary was preceded in death by husband, Donald J. Wishart, October 25, 2000, daughter; Laurel Wishart DePietro, September 27, 2006. Mother, Charlotte Lotterio and father, Ellsworth Palmer, stepfather Alex Lotterio, sisters Lucille Perry, Sondra Wisby and brother Michael Lotterio. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 – 10:30 AM, August 29, 2020, in the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph. A graveside service and Inurnment Committal will follow at 11:00 AM at the Randolph Cemetery.
