Melissa Kay Ross -GLBFH

Little Rock- Melissa Kay Ross, 57, departed this life on Thursday, September 10, 2020 peacefully in her home. She was born on April 3, 1963 in Pontiac, Michigan to Dempsey Slinkard and Earldean Rogers Slinkard. She married Ronn Ross on March 6, 1987 and they spent thirty-thee wonderful years together. Melissa was raised in Clarkston, Michigan where she attended Springfield Christian Academy and graduated in 1981. She worked for several doctors over the years doing medical billing. Melissa enjoyed putting together puzzles and a good book in her free time. She was a big fan of NCIS as well. Melissa’s most of all favorite thing to do was play with her grandchildren. Melissa was preceded in death by her mother, Earldean Slinkard. She was survived by her husband, Ronn Ross of the home; Her father, Dempsey Slinkard of Jonesboro; two daughters, Cambray Ross and Brittany Ross of Little Rock; a son, Rogan Ross (Leann) of Prairie Grove; three grandchildren, Caiden Ross of Little Rock, Aaron Ross, and Emma Ross of Prairie Grove; a brother, Steven Slinkard (Sarah) of Jonesboro; three sisters, Theresa Greenway (Paul) of Brookland, Norma Rondo (Bill) of Ortonville, MI, and Dolores Clark (Greg) of Trumann. Family and friends may visit the funeral home prior to service 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2020 in the Gregg-Langford-Bookout Funeral Home Chapel.
