Mrs. Lillie Frances Strickland DeLoach Skinner, age 83, of Blackshear, passed away late Friday night (9/11/20) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross following an extended illness.

Born January 9, 1937 in Blackshear, she was a daughter of the late Willie Lawton “W.L.” and Lourennie Tomberlin Strickland. She lived most of her life in Pierce County, had worked at People’s Bank in Blackshear for several years but was retired as the Pierce County 4-H Program Coordinator. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Blackshear.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray DeLoach; 4 sisters, Ellen Howard, Vandilla Griffin, Lou Thomas, and Mary Rigdon; and 5 brothers, M.H. Strickland, Quitman Strickland, J.T. Strickland, David Strickland, and W.O. Strickland.

Survivors include her husband, Emory Skinner of Blackshear; 2 children, Mike DeLoach of Blackshear and Vicki Paden of Kingsland; 4 grandchildren, Dustin Bennett (wife Sara) of Woodbine, Tori Paden (Justin Stewart) of Jacksonville Beach, FL, Justin DeLoach (Kim Gill) of Blackshear, and McCray DeLoach of Blackshear; 3 great grandchildren and another expected soon, Reese DeLoach of Blackshear, and Reese Bennett and William Johnson, both of Woodbine; 4 step-children, Joe (Janice), Pat, Kelly, and Michael; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will take place Tuesday morning (9/15/20) at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Blackshear. Burial will follow in the Blackshear City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening (9/14/20) from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
