Paula Lamothe Obituary

Paula May Lamothe (nee Kemper) age 73 years of Shaunavon, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully with family at her side on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the Shaunavon Hospital & Care Centre. Paula was born on December 17, 1946 at Eastend, Saskatchewan to Frank and Marjorie Kemper. She had four sisters and one brother. On September 10, 1966 she married the love of her life Armand Lamothe. They had three children, Everett, Lori and Katherine. Paula loved to garden, she had a green thumb, whether it was house plants, flowers or the garden, she loved plants. She loved animals and was always bringing home a stray she found somewhere, usually kittens and cats. She was an avid collector of all things in the line of figurines, anything porcelain; usually dolls, chickens, cats and horses. She was predeceased by her husband Armand, parents Frank and Marjorie, one sister Donna, one brother Kenneth, brother-in-law Bud and grandson Michael Andrew. She is survived by her children Everett (Marie) of Melita, Manitoba, Lori Dunn (William) of Ogema, Saskatchewan and Katherine Hardin (Robert) of Dollard, Saskatchewan, sisters Linda McLellan of Shaunavon, Francine Johnson (Nick) of Medicine Hat, Alberta and Sheryn Johnson of Saskatoon. Sister-in-law Bev Tomlins, brothers-in-law Barry and Larry Steele and Gordon Lamothe. Three grandsons, two granddaughters, one grandson-in-law and one granddaughter-in-law as she called them. Three great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed and loved dearly. A private family interment service will take place at Riverside Cemetery at Eastend, Saskatchewan on September 14, 2020 with Reverend Ken Schrag officiating. Binkley’s Funeral Service of Shaunavon (www.Binkleys.com) is in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers were grandsons and friends of the family Leonard Hoyt, Hawk Hoyt, Dillon Arendt, Kalvin Dunn, Trevor Reiger and Rene Kohl. Honorary pallbearers were all who knew and loved her.
