Alice A. (Magee) Sandwell

Alice A. (Magee) Sandwell, 89, of Richmond, VT, passed away on September 6, 2020 at the UVM Medical Center in Burlington.  She was born in Richmond, VT on June 17, 1931 to Patrick and Gladys (Bradley) Dowd.  Alice grew up in Richmond and after graduating from Richmond High School, went to work for the Richmond Telephone Company and later for the Richmond Insurance Company.  

Alice was a life-long member of the Richmond Congregational Church and the Beacon Light Grange.  Alice loved spending time with her family, friends and being outdoors.  She enjoyed camping, traveling, and arts and crafts.   

Left to cherish Alice’s memory are her daughter Colleen Hanson and her husband Jamie of Colchester, VT, her step-daughters Linda Brooks of Old Orchard Beach, ME and Darlene Gauguier of Micco, FL, 3 grandchildren; Shyla Brooks, Kayla Brooks and Stefanie Cox and many dear friends.  

She was predeceased by her first husband, Lewis Magee, her second husband Richard Sandwell, her sister Helen Randall and her brother Leon Dowd.  

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
