Post Mills, VT-Robert “Bob” Pulaski of Barker Road in Post Mills passed away suddenly at his home on September 09, 2020 in the great outdoors that he loved so much.


Robert was born in Baldwin, Long Island, New York on February 13th 1945 the son of John and Catherine (Haug) Pulaski.
Bob obtained his B.A, in Accounting from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY in 1967 and upon graduation began his career as an assistant controller for a real estate/construction firm.


Shortly thereafter he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam in the Mekong Delta area in 1968-1969 at the height of the war. He received several commendations for his service.


In 1970 Bob married Laura Bianco and they recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Upon discharge he joined the IRS as a Federal Agent for the Brooklyn, NY District where he spent 10 years helping to fight organized crime and honing his investigative skills. He was promoted to management and during this time received a Masters Degree from Adelphi University.
 In 1979 along with his wife, Laura and sons, Gregory and Steven they relocated to Thetford VT and he joined a regional CPA firm Smith, Batchelder and Rugg as a tax specialist. Bob then joined the accounting firm of Tyler, Simms and St. Saveur in 1995.
Bob was active in community service and served on several town boards and committees as well as local non-profits. He was the treasurer and longest serving member of the Thetford Conservation Commission. He also was a certified Vermont tree farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Laura, son, Gregory of Vershire, and his partner Heather Mullen, and daughters, Bianca, Willow and Jordan, son Steven and wife Hannah of Bozeman MT and children Amelia and Lance.


There are no public services. The family will be planting trees in his memory and would appreciate if others did also.
