Mr. Helms passed away on Wednesday, September 9th, 2020 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his son, James Helms "Knothead"; mother, Annie L. Helms; father, James Aaron Helms; and brother, Robert A. "Bobbie" Helms. Mr. Helms is survived by his wife, Alice Helms; daughter, Kristie MacKay; sons, Michael Jordan, Steve Jordan (Connie), and Lee Helms (Dawn); grandchildren, Ashley MacKay (Daniel), Shayna Dorley (Dakota), Michael MacKay, Amanda Helms, Amber Helms, Shae Rodgers (Kyle), and Vickie Swanzy (Heath); great-grandchildren, Rylee MacKay, Kailyn Holland, Liam Rodgers, and Axel Swanzy; brother, Donnie Helms (Pam); and sister, Terry Patterson (Paul). A time of visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 11:00 am. Services will be held at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home, 5250 Veterans Memorial Drive, Adamsville, AL 35005. Interment will be at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Adamsville, AL.
