Melissa Richardson

Melissa (Prince) Richardson of Bloomfield, CT, age 39, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 3rd, 2020, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. She was born on February 19th, 1981 in Manchester, CT, to William and Lucy (Lundy) Prince. Melissa grew up in East Hartford, CT and was a 1999 graduate of East Hartford High School. Melissa married Terrell Richardson in August of 2006, and together they have three sons; Malcolm, McCoy, and Maxson. She later went on to obtain her associates degree in Nursing from Goodwin College, her bachelors degree in Nursing at Central Connecticut State University, and recently completed her masters degree from the University of St. Joseph in 2019. She had a successful career as a nurse at various locations, most recently at Community Health Resources in Hartford, CT as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Melissa lived life to the fullest through her passion for traveling, shopping and spending time with family and friends. She had a radiant energy that shined through her eyes, smile and sense of fashion. She was a minister that loved the Lord, and served in several areas of ministry which includes president of the usher board and as an anointed praise dancer. She is survived by her husband Terrell, sons; Malcolm, McCoy, Maxson, mother; Lucy Prince, brother; William (Vanessa) Prince, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many other family members and friends. She is predeceased by her father; William M. Prince and mother-in-law; Evelyn Richardson.
