Carol A. O'Neil Obituary

Carol A. (Allen) ONeil, age 82, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020 at home. She was born in Providence, RI on February 19, 1938 to the late Clarence W. Allen, Jr. and Margaret F. (Baker) Allen. Carol was the beloved wife of John "Jack" J. ONeil for 64 years. She was the loving mother of Deborah Lysik (late Stephen), Susan Palmer (David), Joanne Bichun (David), Karen ONeil (Tim), Kathy Wilson (David), Maureen ONeil Golding and Kevin ONeil (Kathy). Carol was the loving Nana to Matt Lysik; Brendan, Gregory & Kyle Palmer; Michael, David and Jennifer Bichun; Kyle, Tyler & Ally Wilson; Haley & Connor Golding; and Jack & Caroline ONeil. Great Nana to Jacob & Joseph Palmer. She was the sister of David (Dolores) and predeceased by her brothers; John Bradford Allen & Richard Allen. Carol was the sister in law to Dan ONeil (Beverly), Patricia ONeil, and Mary Ellen Juthapan (Pramot). She was a graduate of Pawtucket East (Tolman) High School, Class of 1954. Carol was an active parent at Our Lady of Mercy School in East Greenwich. She enjoyed volunteering at Kent Hospital and McAuley House in Providence where she devoted time every Tuesday for many years. Also, Carol was a member of the Kent County YMCA swim group. Carols family expresses their sincere appreciation to the South Kingstown Adult Day Services Program and the nursing staff from Kindred Hospice, most especially Suzanne, Pam, Michelle, and Lori. A Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Sunday, September 13, 2020 in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday, September 14, 2020 in St. Veronica Chapel, 1035 Boston Neck Rd., Narragansett. Her burial will be private.
